Mission The Foundation is committed to the idea of education devoted to founding of a just, productive and cultured society. While the frontiers of higher education have expanded, the benefits have not adequately trickled down. The state has tried to redress the imbalance through positive discrimination and yet much remains to be accomplished. The educational needs of the poor, the disadvantaged and the marginalized require immediate attention. FAEA emphasizes on the equality of opportunity to help students what they want to become so that they have a choice and are not directed by necessity. The Foundation is committed to enable economically disadvantaged groups access to be able to study in those institutions, which give access to academic excellence, structures of power and economic opportunity. It is also committed to support all activities and institutions, which provide students better experience of excellence in all fields. Aims and Objectives The main objective of the Foundation is to secure social justice to the disadvantaged. The Foundation has already taken up the cause of securing social justice to the economically and socially disadvantaged students in a big way by forging a partnership with the Ford Foundation. Besides participating in Ford's International Fellowship Programme, the foundation will be giving 100 bursaries and scholarships every year to these students. It will also supplement this with creation of an institutional framework in which concerns for the disadvantaged are addressed. The Foundation will provide grants to universities and colleges for the purpose. The Foundation will also be providing funds for up gradation of infrastructure facilities in ten colleges in the first year. Five colleges will be added every subsequent year.
